In other Brexit developments Britain said Wednesday that it would temporarily eliminate tariffs on a wide range of imported goods in case of a No Deal. The tariff plan for a No Deal Brexit will last for up to 12 months if implemented 87 percent of total imports to the UK by value would be eligible for tariff free access. That's up from 80 percent now. Britain also said it would avoid a hard border with Ireland. The British government promised it would not introduce any new checks on the Irish border while stressing that the plan was temporary and unilateral.
