二、口译技巧

1.反译
Perhaps nothing matched their economic impact until the advent of the personal computer.
在个人计算机出现之前，它对经济所产生的影响或许无与伦比。

My message is that no enterprise needs to be more innovative than an established business in a mature industry.
我发言的主要意思是，在已经发展成熟的行业里，一家基业一定的公司比其他任何企业都需要革新。

2.词性转化

动词转化为介词

邀请我们大家一起参加第二届商业管理事物领导人峰会

介词转化为动词
With the Free Trade Agreement and NAFTA, trade patterns changed in North America, from east-west to north-south.
随着“自由贸易协定”和“北美自由贸易协定”的执行，北美的贸易从东西贸易变成了南北贸易。

Our second innovation was through our commitment to customer service.
我们的第二次革新体现在我们对顾客的服务承诺。

副词转化为动词
Today, CN not only crosses Canada, we also go right through the center of the United States, down to the Gulf of Mexico.
今天，CN铁路网不仅横跨加拿大，还穿越美国的中部，直达墨西哥湾。

形容词转化为名词
Other railroads focused on marshalling trains, waiting for enough freight to make a train’s trip cost effective.
其它的铁路公司强调火车培烈，等到火车满载时才发车，以实现成本效应。

名词转化为动词
We began a system of scheduled freight service that delivers cars on time.
我们提供了按时发货的服务，使汽车按时抵达目的地。

3.增词
We saw that Canada-US trade and trade with Mexico was growing.
我们看到美国和加拿大的贸易以及美国和墨西哥的贸易在增长。

Through mergers and partnerships, CN created a unique rail network, designed to take advantage of the growth of north-south trade.
通过合并和建立伙伴关系的方法，CN公司创建了一个独特的铁路网络，旨在利用南北贸易的增长。（增加动词）

4.意译
The trucks were handling most of that growth.
这要归功于卡车的运输作用。

The delivery times are listed not in number of days, but in number of hours.
送货时间不是以天来计算的，而是以小时来计算的。

5.句子成分的转化
A few years ago, we told our customers we would deliver our services with no delays and no excuses.
几年之前，我们对客户承诺，我们提供的服务决不拖延、毫无借口。（句子主干成分和次要成分转化）
