1. 吃瓜 grab some popcorn
这里grab some popcorn指的是“准备好爆米花，坐等好戏上演”，与“吃瓜”的意思非常接近，也可以说或get the popcorn。“瓜”往往指的是“八卦”，除了gossip，口语中还常常用tea和scoop来表示。要形容“瓜”非常大，内容很劲爆，英文可以用juicy。

2. 吃瓜群众 onlooker
onlooker是“旁观者”的意思，与之类似的词还有bystander，spectator。“吃瓜群众”往往就是“网友”，所以也可以用netizens来表示。

3. 上头条 make headlines
除了用make，动词还可以使用hit，grab，都可以表示“上头条”“抢头条”的意思。还可以说dominate the news cycle（统治了新闻周期），这里的“新闻周期”指的是对一个事件从最初的报道到最后的报道。

这位知名演员的丑闻成了世界各地的头条新闻。

4. 分财产 divide property
“分财产”的“分”英文可以用divide，也可以用split，“财产”可以说property，也可以说assets，这两个词有细微区别，property是包含负债在内的财产，assets是减去负债的净值。
