朋友是用来做什么的？

●     set someone up

e.g My colleague at work is so cute. I know it would be easy to set someone up with her.

     我公司的同事好可爱哦，我想帮她介绍男朋友一定很简单。（意思是说人家男生肯定很容易看上她呢）

●     hook someone up

e.g I would love to hook someone up with my handsome brother.

      我很想帮我的帅哥弟弟介绍个女朋友。

●     got set up

e.g I got set up with my new girlfriend by a mutual friend of ours.

       我的新女朋友是透过我们俩共同的朋友介绍的。

●     got hooked up

e.g My boyfriend and I got hooked up through a relative of his.

          我和我男朋友是通过他亲戚介绍认识的。

Tip: Puppy Love “小狗狗的爱”

我们很多人初恋都是在高中或者大学时代。这就是puppy love（小孩子的，不成熟的爱情）。Puppy love可是甜蜜的回忆。

We have just started seeing each other so right now I’d say it’s just puppy love. Maybe it’ll develop into something more serious.

我们现在刚刚开始交往，所以还只是“小狗狗的爱”，也许以后会发展成比较正式的感情吧！

Recall: Seeing someone 是“有固定异性朋友”的意思，可不是“正在看某个人”哦.
