1. What's up?
"What's up?"和"How are you doing?""How's it going?"以及"What's new?"……,都是美国人常说的寒暄语,一般认为是从黑人语言中而来,是很常用的打招呼方式。
"What's up?"就是问对方近来如何,有点像中文里的“最近怎样”,通常没什么事就会回答"Not much"或者"Nothing"。
不过,还有一种情况也很常见,就是对方也回答了一句"What's up?"。在这种情况下,"What's up"几乎相当于"Hello"。
"What's up?"也常被用来问人家有什么事,比如别人登门拜访,你就可以用,意为“有何贵干哪”。
情景对话:
A: What's up, boy? 你在忙什么呢,小家伙?
B: I'm doing my homework, dad.在做作业呢,爸爸。
2.Here we are.
“Here we are”在口语中用得很多,其确切含义应视上下文而定,但万变不离其中之两种基本含义:
(1)我们(终于)到了;
Here we are at the station.(其后可跟地点状语)
(2)我们所需要的(或所要找的)东西就在这里;
当谈论中的东西是单数时可用“Here it is.”,复数时可用“Here they are.”来代替

情景对话:
A: Are we arrived? 我们到了吗?
B: Well, here we are. 嗯,我们到了。
3. I figure...“我想,我觉得,我揣测,我断定”;
I figure that he was honest .
我想他是诚实的。
I figure he will come here tomorrow.
我算计他明天会来。
而figure on则是“估计到,打算,指望”的意思;
You can figure on him to be on time.
你可以指望他准时。
You can figure on him to support you.
你可以指望他来支持你。
情景对话:
A: How do you think our new preoject? 你觉得我们的新项目怎样?
B: I figure it'll work well. 我想会运作顺利的。
