【词义辨析】
normal, ordinary, regular, natural, typical,
normal: 指不超过某种限度、符合某种标准或常规。
ordinary: 强调一般性和普通性，含不突出的意味。
regular: 指按已有模式的、有规律或定期的。
natural: 侧重某人或某物的行为符合其固有特性。
typical: 指个体能体现出群体的特征。
【例句用法】
1.I really don't know what kind of man he really is; on one occasion, he is normal, and on another, he acts like a lunatic.
我真不了解他到底是怎样的人; 一会儿正常，一会儿又像个疯子。

二.prepare：v. 预备，准备
【词语用法】
prepare后可接双宾语。
His wife is preparing him a meal.
他老婆正在给他准备一顿饭。
prepare to do表示“因要……而作准备”，prepared to do表示“原意且有能力做什么”。
I am preparing to undertake the task.
我正为要担任这个工作作准备。
I am prepared to undertake the task.
我愿意且能够担任这工作。
同will not和cannot相比，be not prepared to的语气要来的更加婉转，常出现在公文中；
prepared后可接that从句，从句里用should。
I am prepared that my son should have a tutor.
【错句举例与错句分析】
错句：I was busy, preparing my examination.
纠正：I was busy, preparing for my examination.
翻译：我忙于准备我的考试。
分析：prepare one's lesson可表示“预备功课”，但是“准备考试”只能在prepare后加介词for表示“为……作准备。”

【词义辨析】
contain, include, embrace, involve, comprehend, hold, comprise,
contain: 普通用词，所涉及的物体常常是其组成部分或内容。强调包容关系。既可指具体有形的东西，也可指抽象无形的东西。
include: 普通用词，指一整体包含着各独立的部分，也指某东西包含另一东西的某一部分。
embrace: 正式用词，指把某事物纳入整个之中。
involve: 指包含因整体的性质决定的成分或结果。所包括的往往是无形的，不可触知的东西，多用作引申。
comprehend: 正式用词，指包含在整体范围以内。
hold: 常和contain换用。指能够容纳或有足够的容纳量。强调包容能力。
comprise: 书面用词，暗指一个整体包括不同部分所组成，可与include交换使用。
【例句用法】
1.Giving advice at the right time has to involve a great deal of intelligence.
在适当的时间提建议需要人的睿智。
2.Painting the room involved moving out the piano.
粉刷房间就要把钢琴搬出去。
3.How should we involve ourselves in school life?
