You don't have to use "if" with the conditional one. It's true.

You've got a range of other options to choose from.

We know how the conditional one works.

If you try hard, you will succeed.

But we could say, 'As long as you try hard, you will succeed.'
但是我们可以说：“只要你努力，你就会成功。”
Or even, 'So long as you try hard, you will succeed.'
或者：“只要你努力，你就会成功。”
Great for spoken English.

What if you want something a little bit more formal?
如果你想要更正式一点的表达呢？
Well, in that case, you could say, 'Provided that you try hard, you will succeed.'
如果是这样，你可以说：“假如你努力，你就会成功。”
Or even, 'Providing that you try hard, you will succeed.'
或者：“假如你努力，你就会成功。”
But what if you want to focus on the negative?
但是如果你想描述否定情况呢？
What if you want to focus on what will happen if they don't do this?
如果你想说“如果他们不这样做，会发生什么”，那该怎么办？
Well, you could say, 'Unless you try hard, you won't succeed.'
你可以说：“除非你努力，否则你不会成功。”
So there you go.

Take your conditional one sentence, if plus present simple plus the future simple, and then use the different expressions.
在第一条件句中，就是if加上一般现在时，再加上一般将来时，可以用不同的表达方式。
We've looked at as long as, so long as, provided that, providing, and unless.
我们讲了as long as和so long as（只要），provided that和providing（假如），还有unless（除非）。
