"I, Donald John Trump, do solemnly swear."

This is the moment when every U.S. president actually becomes the president.
It's called "the inauguration", and Donald Trump knows what it's all about as he's done it before when he first became president in 2017.
Now he's back, but although he won the U.S. election last November, he's not actually president until he takes the oath of office.
It's like a promise to the people of America that he will do his best to protect the country and do a good job of being their leader.
It won't be the only time we'll hear from him. He'll also give a special speech called "the inaugural address" where he announces plans for when he's leader.
Inauguration Day traditionally happens on the 20 January, at midday, that's around 5 p.m. our time, in Washington D.C., the capital of the United States.

There's a big gap between the election and the inauguration, because back when George Washington, America's first president, was sworn in in 1789, information had to travel across America by horse and cart, which took a long time.

Usually the previous president attends, although Donald Trump skipped it last time after he lost to President Biden.
But Joe Biden is expected to be there as well as other senior politicians, family, friends, and maybe a few celebs too.
Donald Trump and his family will also take part in a parade, and after lots of celebrating, he can move back into the White House where his work as president will really begin.
