The UK Prime Minister told US President Donald Trump that Britain backed "trade peace" and freedom of trade. Johnson made the remarks on Sunday when meeting with Trump on the sidelines of the G7 summit in France. Johnson noted that the UK has profited massively in the last 200 years from free trade. On his part, Trump said a trade deal between the United States and Britain will be reached quickly. And as for brexit Trump said Johnson is the "right man" to deliver Brexit for Britain. Earlier Trump told reporters that the United States and Japan are very close to a major trade deal. He spoke before heading into a meeting with Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe.
