01 Thanksgiving
It falls on 11/25 this year.
One of the big 3 holidays for Americans: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year.
kick off the holiday season
Why is it so important?
In 1621, Pilgrims (settlers from England) in New England invited local Native Americans (the Indians) to their harvest celebrations to enjoy the harvest feast following a great season of growth.
Indian
People always try to be home for Thanksgiving.
turkey with all the trimmings (stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes)
pies (pumpkin, pecan, apple)
I am stuffed.

If you don't appreciate what you already have, you probably won't appreciate what you're going to have.
Thanksgiving isn't just a day. It's a way we can live our lives every day.
We're more blind to what we have than to what we don't have.
Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more.
Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.
Count your blessings and make your blessings count.
