Cameron joins Weibo, China's version of Twitter
卡梅伦访华前开微博 1天吸引超10万中国“粉丝”
British prime minister David Cameron is set to arrive in China on Monday, in his first visit to the country since Chinese President Xi Jinping took office in March. Cameron will be accompanied by a delegation of ministers and business leaders.
The British prime minister joined Weibo, China’s version of Twitter, and posted messages in English and Mandarin ahead of his visit. The account attracted over 100,000 followers over the weekend.
He spoke of preparations before the trip, and held conversations with British students learning Mandarin. The Prime Minister then posted another message later in the day, of his visit to the Masterpieces of Chinese Paintings exhibition at a museum in London.
