美副总统拜登为乌克兰提供支持
US Vice President Joe Biden has arrived in Ukraine for a two-day visit to Kiev to meet interim leaders. Biden was welcomed by Ukraine’s foreign minister.
"We are conducting intensive dialogue between Ukraine and the United States, and we will continue to implement the agreements which were reached during the visit of the prime minister of Ukraine to the United States." Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Deshchytsia said.
Biden’s visit is aimed at demonstrating US commitment to the country, and to push for urgent implementation of the Geneva agreement tailored to de-escalate tensions with Russia. He’s also bringing a package of technical and economic support for Kiev authorities, to help the country implement energy and economic reforms. Biden will also be discussing preparations for next month’s presidential election, along with follow-up talks on a recent US tranche of non-lethal security aid.
