6.4 magnitude quake shakes buildings in Mexico City
墨西哥城发生6.4级地震
A 6.4 magnitude earthquake has shaken parts of Mexico, causing buildings to sway in the capital. The US Geological Survey says the quake was centred near the town of Tecpan de Galeana in southern Guerrero state, about 300 kilometers south-west of Mexico City.
The tremors it caused sent frightened office workers in the capital streaming into the streets away from high-rise buildings. Electricity and cellphone services in parts of the city were briefly knocked out.
According to media reports, the quake was also felt in the resort city of Acapulco, the central states of Puebla and Morelos, the southern state of Oaxaca and Vera-cruz on the Gulf coast. There have been no immediate reports of serious damage or injuries.
