It is a case that has galvanised the bottom rung of Cambodian society, and international clothing brands alike On Friday, 25 garment workers were given suspended prison sentences for their role in strikes for higher pay that turned deadly. They'd been held in detention until the case was heard.

Spanish police arrest six suspected al Qaeda militants

Six militants from an international Islamist cell have been arrested in Spain. According to the Interior Ministry, they're suspected of recruiting fighters and sending them off to Mali and Libya. Among those arrested, one man who returned to Spain after attending militant training camps in Mali. Spanish and Moroccan authorities broke up a similar cell in March that was sending fighters to conflict zones such as Syria.

Security breach forces lockdown at Detroit airport

A security breach triggered a lockdown at the Detroit Airport Thursday night. The TSA said a passenger passed through security around 8:45 in the evening and then walked out of an exit. He then returned through the same exit without getting screened again. Thousands of passengers were left stranded for nearly three hours, though it wasn't immediately clear what had happened.
