Movie fans descended on London's Leicester Square on Monday (September 22) for the world premiere of new British comedy "What We Did On Our Holiday". Billy Connolly, David Tennant and Rosamund Pike walked the red carpet, which had a distinctly Scottish theme. The film is centred on a young family who take a road trip to the Highlands to celebrate the 75th birthday of their grandfather, played by Connolly. During filming Connolly discovered that he was not only suffering from Parkinson's Disease but also deafness and prostate cancer. SOUNDBITE Actor, Billy Connolly, saying (English): "No, it was actually great because I hadn't told anyone on the film but I had to say it in the film because my character gets cancer and I have to tell my granddaughter and I was telling the truth and nobody knew. I didn't tell them until after I left the movie." Pike, who's pregnant with her second child, seems set to become Hollywood's latest leading lady. She weighed in on her journey from Bond girl to "Gone Girl". SOUNDBITE Actress, Rosamund Pike, saying (English): "Well I just hope that I've always maintained that you've got to keep surprising your audience and you've got to not be too present and I do worry that people will get sick of me so I think I'll probably go and lie low and have my baby in November and then lie low a bit. But it is a very exciting professional moment with very different films all coming out at the same time which is unusual." "What We Did on Our Holiday" goes on release in the UK and Ireland on September 26th.
