1.typical
Exp. characteristic of a particular person or thing (某人或某事物)特有的,独特的
Eg. It was typical of her to forget.
她这人就是爱忘事。
Eg. He answered with typical curtness.
他像往常一样, 回答时唐突无礼。
Eg. On a typical day we receive about fifty letters.
我们通常一天收到约五十封信。
Eg. Such decoration was a typical feature of the baroque period.

2.role
Exp. actor's part in a play 角色
Eg. He needs to play a variety of roles at work.

3.boundary

3.neither
Exp. not either 也不
Usage: used before a modal v or aux v placed in front of its subject
用于主语前面的情态动词或助动词之前
Eg. He doesn't like Beethoven and neither do I.

Eg. I haven't been to New York before and neither has my sister.

4.serious
Usage: ~ (about sb/sth) ~ about doing sth
Exp. in earnest; sincere 认真的; 真诚的
Eg. I make a serious suggestion.
我提出了一个诚恳的建议。
Eg. Are you really serious about him?
你真对他有意吗? (是否真心爱他?)
Eg. Is she serious about learning to be a pilot?
她真想学开飞机吗?
5.virgin
Exp. person, esp a girl or woman, who has never had sexual intercourse
未发生过性行为的人;(尤指)处女
6.embarrassed
Usage: ~ (about / at sth
Eg. She's embarrassed about her height.
Eg. He felt embarrassed at being the centre of attention.
Eg. Some women are too embarrassed to consult their doctor about the problem.
Eg. I've never felt so embarrassed in my life!
7.assignment
Exp. a task or piece of work that sb is given to do, usually as part of their job or studies 被指定的(课外)作业
Eg. You will need to complete three written assignments per semester.
Eg. She is in Greece on an assignment for one of the Sunday newspapers.
Eg. I had set myself a tough assignment.
7.doorman
Exp. a man, often in uniform, whose job is to stand at the entrance to a large building such as a hotel or a theatre, and open the door for visitors, find them taxis, etc. 看门人,门卫
Eg. Our doorman has worked for the company for years and has become part of the furniture.
