Interns, interns, it's not, it's not what you're gonna learn this summer.
实习生，我认为这个暑假对于实习生来说，重要的不是你学到了什么。
As a matter of fact, 94% of you are gonna take jobs where they're gonna teach you dumbass shit,
其实有94%的实习生，你们所能学到的都是些垃圾，
or stuff that you already know.
或者这些东西你已经学过。
They're, they're mailing in their internships.
这样的实习是一点用没有的。
Interns, it's not about what you're going to learn this summer, my friends,
其实重要的不是你学到了什么，朋友们，
it's going to be who you meet.
重要的是结识了什么样的人。
Please understand as you go into this internship, maximize networking.
记住我的话，实习生最重要的任务就是扩展你的朋友圈。
Shake hands, kiss babies.
握握手，表示一下支持什么的。
If you're a wallflower, don't even do internships, like, like not the classic way,
如果你不擅长这些，不擅长与人交际，你最好不要做实习生，我是说不是那种最常见的形式，
like, like, obviously, you have a skill to learn.
很显然，你有自己的学习方法。
You're lucky enough to be a developer or something like that but fine.
你很幸运能成为开发者或者什么，这样也可以。
But like if you're an intern, please understand it is the human connections that you're gonna make.
如果你是实习生，你要知道人际关系是你最需要学的。
Way too many people roll in and think they're going to learn something about advertising
有太多实习生，他们认为自己可以学到一些广告啊，
or marketing or media or startups.
或者是市场，媒体或者是创业方面的知识。
You're not. You're just not. You're not. Just saving you time.
其实不然，其实不然，省省时间吧，
And if you do, it's just this much.
如果你真的这么认为，你学到的就只是那么一点点而已。
It's 3% of the equation. Please attack the other 97. Go to every after hours event.
你只得到了那3%，去追求那97%吧，参加下班后的每一场活动。
Say hello to everybody. If you go into an office where everybody's head down,
向所有人打招呼，如果办公室的人都低着头，
it's not that kind of culture, figure it out. Hack it.
你觉得这样的氛围不是太有利，想办法解决它。
Be the obnoxious intern, that was too bubbly.
要让人们看到你是一位开朗活泼的实习生。
And make sure you attach yourself, even if you go into an office,
加强人与人之间的联系，如果进入办公室一看，
law firm where everybody is head down,
法律事务所，所有人都低着头，
if you see that one person that looks up and gives you a glimmer of people skills,
如果你看见有一个人抬头冲你微笑，
attach yourself to that person. Let them bring you to things.
一定要和那个人产生联系, 让他们帮助你。
Interns, use this time wisely.
你们一定要合理利用时间。
Way too many of you go in and you think you're gonna get something.
许多实习生都认为会真的学到什么知识。
And in reality, the magic was sitting right in front of you.
但实际上，奇迹就在你的眼前。
And the punchline, my friends, is it's the people?
有句话特别逗，这些是不是人？
It's the people. It's the people that you meet in that office that go work somewhere else,
这些是人，那位不是你公司的同事，现在跳槽去别的地方了，
that are reminded by your hustle and tenacity and good natureness
他们记住了你的激情，你的坚韧和开朗的性格，
and offense and you went for it, you attached for it，you wanted it
还有你的野心，你还为此付出了努力。
and, and they're the ones that give you the opportunities.
而这些机会是他们给你的。
This is a very simple world. This is a people world.
这个世界很简单，这是一个人与人之间联系的世界。
Not the black and white skills you learned this summer in eight weeks.
重要的不是你暑假这八周学到的技能。
Half of you are gonna get coffee and do dumb shit cause they disrespected you inappropriately.
一般实习生都会一边喝着咖啡，一边学一些一点用没有的东西，因为他们一点都不在乎你们。
So please, even if you are in that 50% that's getting dumb shit and coffees and things of that nature,
即使你是那一群人，手里拿着咖啡，学习一些什么用都没有的东西等等，
say hello, drop a coffee off to somebody and they've got a Cardinals pennant
那你也要向别人打招呼，给他们递上一杯咖啡，看他们在讨论冠军球队红雀队，
and you know something about the Cardinals, say something.
你知道这只球队，说点你的观点。
Say something about Adam Wainwright, create relationships.
说说亚当·温赖特，建立你和同事之间的联系。
It is the only KPI. It is the only ROI of an internship.
这才是实习的唯一关键绩效指标，这才是实习的唯一投资回报。
