I'll never forget the day my old friend Freya called me and told me that Rima Khcheich, world famous Lebanese singer, was in town.

Freya was at the club. She was there.

We use it to describe things that move really quickly.

Notice how it sounds quick and speedy.

Also, here it's used as a phrasal verb.

I zipped over. Zip is the verb, and over is an intransitive preposition.

Buzzing. The place was buzzing.

Normally, it's used to describe the sound that insects make.

Normally, it's used to describe something that makes lots of short, sharp little noises, like hot oil in a pan or fire.
