In this video, I'm going to give you three different ways to sound friendlier and less robotic when you're responding to questions and comments in English.

I've never been to a robotics conference before. How about you, BCBot?

My friend, BCBot, is sounding very robotic because she's repeating everything I say whenever I ask her a question or make a comment.
我的朋友BC机器人听起来非常像机器人，因为每当我问她问题或发表评论时，她都会重复我说的话。
I did not know that I sound robotic repeating the whole verb phrase every time you make a comment or ask a question.
我不知道每次你发表评论或提出问题时，我重复整个动词短语听起来很像机器人。
Number one. We can sound more natural and friendly if we use auxiliary verbs.
第一，如果使用助动词，我们可以听起来更自然和友好。
If we agree or we've had the same experience as the speaker, we can use the following formula.
如果我们同意或者有和说话者相同的经历，我们可以用下面的句式。
So plus auxiliary verb plus the subject.
So加上助动词加上主语。
For example, I love robotics. So do I.
例如，我喜欢机器人。我也是。
Number two. When the comment or question is negative and we want to agree with the speaker or say we've had the same experience,
第二，当评论或问题是否定的，并且我们想同意说话者或说我们有过相同的经历时，
we can use the following formula: neither/nor plus auxiliary verb, plus the subject.
我们可以用这个句式：neither/nor加上助动词，再加上主语。
For example, I've never been to a robotics conference before. Neither have I.
例如，我以前从没参加过机器人大会。我也没有。
Yeah. That'sgreat, BCBot.
是的。这样很棒，BC机器人。
Number three. What if we feel differently or we don't agree with the speaker?
第三，如果我们有不同看法，或者不同意说话者的观点，那该怎么办？
Well, we use the following formula.
那么我们用下面的句式。
It's even easier. Subject plus auxiliary in either the positive or negative, depending on what the speaker said before.
这个句式更简单。主语加上肯定或否定的助动词，取决于说话者之前说了什么。
For example, 'I like the food here.' 'I don't. It's horrible.'
例如，“我喜欢这里的食物。”“我不喜欢。太难吃了。”
'I don't like the food here.' 'I do. It's delicious!'
“我不喜欢这里的食物。”“我喜欢。太好吃了！”
So let's recap.
让我们回顾一下。
Number one. When we agree with the speaker's positive comment or question, we say so plus auxiliary plus the subject. "So do I."
第一，当我们同意说话者的积极评论或问题时，我们用so加上助动词，再加上主语。“我也是。”
Number two. When we agree with the speaker's negative sentence or question, we say neither/nor plus auxiliary, plus the subject. "Neither have I."
第二，当我们同意说话者的否定句或否定问题时，我们说neither/nor加上助动词，再加上主语。“我也没有。”
And number three, when we don't agree with the speaker, we say subject plus auxiliary. "I do, I don't."
第三，当我们不同意说话者的观点时，我们用主语加助动词。“我同意，我不同意。”
Just remember, the auxiliary verb you use should match the tense the speaker uses.
只需要记住，你使用的助动词应该与说话者使用的时态相匹配。
So if the speaker used the present perfect tense, the auxiliary verb that you need to use should be the verb have.
如果说话者用了现在完成时态，那么你需要使用的助动词应该是have。
