Animals in the news for the weekend of October 26
周末期间动物趣闻
From a mischevious bear cub to heroic Secret Service dogs, here are the animals that made headlines this week: Shoppers at an Oregon drugstore got quite a shock as this six-month-old bear cub cruised down the aisles. A price check on honey, perhaps? Police eventually scooped her into a shopping basket, before handing her over to wildlife officials. Extremely rare white lions cubs made their debut in not one, but two different countries. In Poland, a zookeeper took twin baby lions into his home when their mother couldn't feed them. Lionesses often reject their young in a caged environment. Fearing the same fate for these three-week-old white lion cubs in Serbia, the Belgrade Zoo kept their mother separate -- While visitors got a chance to see them for the first time. And in Washington, D.C., Secret Service dogs stopped a man after he jumped the White House fence. They suffered injuries when the intruder punched them. But they are now said to be in good health.
