Quirrell rounded on Harry.
奇洛转向哈利。
"Yes — Potter — come here."
“好吧——波特——上这儿来。”
He clapped his hands once, and the ropes binding Harry fell off.
他又把双手一拍，那些捆绑哈利的绳索就自动松开了。
Harry got slowly to his feet.
哈利慢慢地站起来。
"Come here," Quirrell repeated. "Look in the mirror and tell me what you see."
“来这儿，”奇洛又说了一遍，“照一照镜子，把你看到的情形告诉我。”
Harry walked toward him.
哈利朝他走去。
I must lie, he thought desperately. I must look and lie about what I see, that's all.
“我必须对他撒谎，”他不顾一切地想，“我必须先照照镜子，然后编出一套谎话来骗他，就这么做。”
Quirrell moved close behind him.
奇洛凑到他的身后。
Harry breathed in the funny smell that seemed to come from Quirrell's turban.
哈利闻到一股奇怪的气味，似乎是从奇洛头上的围巾里发出来的。
He closed his eyes, stepped in front of the mirror, and opened them again.
他闭上眼睛，站到魔镜前面，随即把眼睛睁开了。
He saw his reflection, pale and scared-looking at first.
他看见了镜子里的自己，一开始脸色苍白，神情惶恐，
But a moment later, the reflection smiled at him.
可是片刻之后，便露出了笑容。
It put its hand into its pocket and pulled out a blood-red stone.
镜子里的哈利把手伸进口袋，掏出一块鲜红的石头，
It winked and put the Stone back in its pocket — and as it did so, Harry felt something heavy drop into his real pocket.
然后眨眨眼睛，又把石头放进了口袋——就在这时，哈利觉得有一件重重的东西真的落进了自己的口袋。
Somehow — incredibly — he'd gotten the Stone.
真是不可思议——他居然就这样得到了魔法石。
"Well?" said Quirrell impatiently. "What do you see?"
“怎么样？”奇洛不耐烦地问，“你看到了什么？”
Harry screwed up his courage.
哈利鼓起勇气。
"I see myself shaking hands with Dumbledore," he invented. "I — I've won the house cup for Gryffindor."
“我看见自己在跟邓布利多握手，”他胡乱编造地说，“我——我为格兰芬多赢得了学院杯冠军。”
Quirrell cursed again.
奇洛又开始骂骂咧咧。
"Get out of the way," he said.
“你给我走开。”他说。
As Harry moved aside, he felt the Sorcerer's Stone against his leg. Dare he make a break for it?
哈利退到一边时，感觉到魔法石就贴在他的大腿上。他敢不敢现在就带着它逃走？
But he hadn't walked five paces before a high voice spoke, though Quirrell wasn't moving his lips.
但他刚走了不到五步，就听见一个尖厉的嗓音说话了，而奇洛的嘴唇根本没有动。
"He lies... He lies..."
“他在说谎……他在说谎……”
