Mo chopped and diced,

blended and pureed,

Mo carefully shuffled it over to the house for dinner,

I made something for you to try too. It's called blood bile bisque.

Bone Appétit. Gave it five brains.

Smells strange. Looks delightful!

Cinco brains! Must be delicioso!

They dug in.
爸爸妈妈埋头狂吃。
Mo closed his eyes and sucked in his breath. This was it.
小莫闭上眼睛，深深吸了一口气。就是这样。
They'd savor the soup. They'd ask for más.
爸爸妈妈吃得很香，还想要更多汤。（注：más表示more。）
Mo imagined breakfasts, lunches, dinners, snacks. All VEGETABLES!
小莫想象着早餐、午餐、晚餐、零食，全都吃蔬菜！
Raw, cooked, steamed, and fried. Forever and ever.
生的、熟的、蒸的、炸的各种蔬菜，永远吃蔬菜。
He saw all his dreams coming true.
他看到自己美梦成真。
Until...

Mo's parents did not like the soup.
小莫的爸妈不喜欢这汤。
Not. One. Bit.
一丁点都不喜欢。
?Dios mío! This soup tastes like... like... vegetables!
老天爷！这汤尝起来就像……就像……蔬菜！
Yuck!
好恶心！
Mo's heart sank to his toes. His plan was a bust.
小莫的心沉了底，他的计划失败了。
How many times do we have to tell you that zombies don't eat veggies?!
我们要跟你说多少次？僵尸不吃蔬菜！
Maybe other zombies don't eat vegetables, but I do.
或许其他僵尸不吃蔬菜，但我吃。
Mom and dad, I'm different.
爸爸妈妈，我不一样。
But I'm still me. Mauricio Romero.

Your ni?o. Your Mo.

Mo reminded his parents that he liked chasing humans as they ran in marathons.
小莫提醒爸妈，他喜欢在人类跑拉松的时候去追人类。
And he promised he'd always cheer for Dad during championship brain-eating competitions.
小莫承诺，爸爸参加吃脑花锦标赛的时候他永远都会为爸爸加油。
He also loved doing the zombie shuffle under the moonlight with Mom.
他也喜欢和妈妈一起在月光下拖着僵尸脚步闲逛。
He was a zombie. A Romero.
他是僵尸，也是罗梅罗家的一员。
He just liked to eat vegetables.
只不过他喜欢吃蔬菜。
Mo's parents loved their son and finally accepted that it was okay to be different.
小莫的爸妈非常爱儿子，最后接受了做个不一样的僵尸也是可以的。
They even promised Mo they would eat more veggies— for him.
他们甚至承诺会多吃点蔬菜——为了小莫而吃。
But only a teeny, tiny bit.
但只吃一点点。
The Romeros knew that most zombies don't eat veggies.
罗梅罗一家知道大多数僵尸不吃蔬菜。
But they were more than zombies.
但他们不仅仅是僵尸。
They were a family.
他们还是一家人。
The end.
故事终。
Well, I love this story for many reasons. First of all, it is perfectly fine to be different,
我喜欢这个故事，有很多原因，首先，做一个不一样的人是完全可以的，
because in a loving family, you'll be accepted.
因为在一个有爱的家庭里，你会被家人接受。
And it's okay to express yourself.
表达自己也是可以的。
And as Mo showed us, he was very respectful of his parents,
就像小莫表现的那样，他非常尊重父母，
and they were able to come together and compromise and share respect for each other.
全家人也能聚在一起，互相妥协，互相尊重。
So don't ever forget, kids, be true to yourself, be honest, express yourself,
所以孩子们，千万不要忘了，要忠于自我，要诚实，要表达自己，
and don't be afraid to be authentic.
