My name is Chris Pine and today we are reading the wonderful book Clark the Shark

written by Bruce Hale and illustrated by Guy Francis.

Let us begin.

In all the wide blue seas, in all the wide blue world, the top school for fish was the Theodore Roosterfish Elementary.
在蓝色的辽阔海洋中，在蓝色的辽阔世界里，最好的鱼学校是西奥多·洋鲷小学。（注：Theodore Roosterfish化用罗斯福总统的名字Theodore Roosevelt。）
And of all the fish at Theodore Roosterfish, the biggest and the strongest was Clark the Shark.
在西奥多·洋鲷小学的所有鱼中，最大最强壮的是鲨鱼克拉克。
Clark loved school, and he loved his teacher, Mrs. Inkydink.
克拉克喜欢学校，也喜欢英克丁克老师。
He loved to play upsy-downsy and spinna-ma-jig with his friends.
他喜欢和朋友们玩倒立和旋转木马。
Clark loved his life.
克拉克热爱他的生活。
“SCHOOL IS AWESOME!” Shouted Clark the Shark.
“学校太棒了！”鲨鱼克拉克喊道。
“Less shouting, more reading,” said Mrs. Inkydink.
“少嚷嚷，多读书。”英克丁克老师说。
"LUNCHTIME IS SWEEEEET!" Yelled Clark the Shark.
“午餐时间太美了！”鲨鱼克拉克喊道。
"Munch your own lunch," said his best friend, Joey Mackerel.
“吃你的午餐吧。”他最好的朋友鲭鱼乔伊说。
"RECESS ROCKS!" Bellowed Clark the Shark.
“课间休息最赞！”鲨鱼克拉克咆哮道。
"You are playing too rough, Clark!" Cried the other kids.
“你玩得太野了，克拉克！”其他孩子喊道。
Yes, Clark loved his life with all of his sharky heart.
是的，克拉克全心全意地热爱着他的鲨鱼生活。
But he loved everything way too much.
但是他爱一切都爱得太多了。
He was too loud.
他太吵了。
He was too wild.
他太野了。
He was just too much shark for the other fish to handle.
对其他鱼来说，他太鲨鱼了，其他鱼招架不住。
After a while, no one would play with Clark.
过了一段时间，没有鱼愿意和克拉克一起玩。
No one ate lunch with Clark.
没有鱼跟克拉克一起吃午餐。
No one sat with him at circle time.
没有鱼在圆圈时间和他坐在一起。
Even his best friend, Joey Mackerel, said, “Cool your jets, Clark!
就连他最好的朋友鲭鱼乔伊也说：“冷静点，克拉克！”
You’re making me crazy!”
你快把我逼疯了！”
One day, Clark asked Mrs. Inkydink, “What’s wrong with everyone?”
有一天，克拉克问英克丁克老师：“大家都怎么了？”
Mrs. Inkydink patted his fin.
英克丁克老师拍了拍他的鳍。
“Clark, sometimes you play too hard, you munch too hard, and —gosh— you even help too hard.”
“克拉克，有时候你玩得太野了，吃得太猛了，而且——天哪——你甚至帮忙也帮得太猛了。”
“But life is SO exciting!” Said Clark.
“但是生活是这么令人兴奋！”克拉克说。
“There’s a time and a place for everything,” said Mrs. Inkydink.
“凡事都有合适的时间和地点，”英克丁克老师说，
“And sometimes the rule is stay cool.”
“有时候规矩就是保持冷静。”
At recess, Clark tried to stay cool, but he pushed the swing with too much zing!
课间休息时，克拉克努力保持冷静，但他推秋千时太用力了！
“Sorry,” said Clark. “I forgot.”
“对不起，”克拉克说，“我忘记了。”
“Yikes!” Cried Joey Mackerel.
“唉呀！”鲭鱼乔伊喊道。
At lunch, Clark tried to stay cool, but everything smelled so good that he munched a bunch of lunches.
午餐时，克拉克努力保持冷静，但饭菜都闻起来太香了，他狼吞虎咽地吃了一堆饭。
“Sorry,” said Clark. “I forgot.”
“对不起，”克拉克说，“我忘记了。”
“We’re STARVING!” Said his friends.
“我们要饿死了！”他的朋友们说。
In class, Clark tried to stay cool, but a good book got him all shook up.
在课堂上，克拉克努力保持冷静，但一本好书让他激动不已。
“Now, Clark!” Said Mrs. Inkydink.
“现在，克拉克！”英克丁克老师说，
“This isn’t the time or the place.
“现在不是合适的时候，也不是合适的地方。
Tell me, what’s the rule?”
告诉我，规矩是什么？
“Stay cool,” said Clark.
“保持冷静。”克拉克说。
“Hey, that rhymes!” He cried.
“嘿，还押韵呢！”他喊道。
Then Clark got a big idea in his sharky head.
然后克拉克的鲨鱼脑袋里有了一个绝妙的主意。
Maybe if I make a rhyme, I’ll remember every time! He thought.
他想，如果我编个押韵的顺口溜，也许我就会每次都记得！
