The next day, he put his plan to work.
第二天，他开始实施计划。
In class, when lessons got exciting, Clark wanted to bounce up out of his seat.
在课堂上，当课程变得令人兴奋时，克拉克想要从座位上跳起来。
Instead, he told himself: “When teacher’s talking, don’t go walking.”
相反，他告诉自己：“老师讲话，我不溜达。”
And what do you know? It worked!

“Attaboy, Clark!” Said Mrs. Inkydink.
“好样的，克拉克！”英克丁克老师说。
Clark smiled.
克拉克微笑了。
“Lessons are fun!”
“课程很有趣！”
At lunch, everything smelled sooo yummy.
午餐时，饭菜都闻起来非常美味。
When Clark wanted to eat and eat and never stop, he told himself: “Only munch your own lunch.”
当克拉克想要不停地吃啊吃的时候，他告诉自己：“只享自己盘中餐。”
And it worked again!
又起作用了！
“Way to go, Clark!” Said his friends.
“再接再厉，克拉克！”他的朋友们说。
Clark grinned.
克拉克咧嘴笑了。
“Lunch is fun.”
“午餐很有趣。”
At playtime, Clark told himself: “Easy does it, that’s the way.
在玩耍时间，克拉克告诉自己：“慢慢来，就这样做。
Then my friends will let me play.”
朋友便同我玩乐。”
And playtime was fun.
于是玩耍时间很有趣。
Once more, Clark loved his life.
克拉克再一次热爱着他的生活。
But then a shadow fell across the playground— a ginormous shadow with tentacles galore.
随后一片阴影笼罩了操场——一片巨大的阴影，上面长满了触手。
“It’s a new kid, and he looks scary!” Cried Joey Mackerel.
“是一个新来的孩子，他看起来好可怕！”鲭鱼乔伊喊道，
“Swim for your lives!”
“快游走逃命啊！”
The squid squashed the slide, and it snapped off the swings.
乌贼压扁了滑梯，折断了秋千。
“Oops. My bad,” said the new kid.
“哎呀，都是我的错。”新来的孩子说。
“Wait,” said Clark.
“等一下，”克拉克说，
“He just wants to play. Let’s find a way!”
“他一心只想玩耍，咱们想想办法！”
And he swam at the new kid with all his might.
然后他用尽全力向那个新来的孩子游去。
Clark played harder than he ever had before— upsy-downsy and spinna-ma-jig.
克拉克玩得比以前任何时候都更猛——上上下下，转来转去。
Why, he even made up a new game: tail-whump-a-lumpus!
啊，他甚至创造了一个新游戏：尾巴抽打大懒虫！
“Wow, that was fun,” said the new kid breathlessly, and he settled down.
“哇，真好玩。”新来的孩子气喘吁吁地说，然后坐了下来。
“If you want to come to school, you’ve got to stay cool,” said Clark.
“如果你想来学校，你得保持冷静。”克拉克说。
“That’s right, Clark,” said Mrs. Inkydink.
“没错，克拉克，”英克丁克老师说，
“And thanks for taking care of our new classmate, Sid the Squid.”
“还要感谢你照顾我们的新同学：鱿鱼希德。”
“Hooray for Clark the Shark!” Everyone cheered.
“鲨鱼克拉克万岁！”每条鱼都欢呼起来。
That night Clark’s mother asked, “What did you learn at school, dear?”
那天晚上，克拉克的妈妈问：“亲爱的，你在学校学到了什么？”
“There’s a time and a place for everything,” Clark said.
“凡事都有合适的时间和地点，”克拉克说，
“Sometimes you stay cool.”
“有时候，你要保持冷静。
“But sometimes a shark’s gotta do what a shark’s gotta do.”
但是有时候鲨鱼必须做鲨鱼该做的事情。”

That was Clark the Shark everybody.
这就是《鲨鱼克拉克》的故事。
I think it speaks to all of us.
我认为这个故事对我们所有人都有意义。
It talks about how we all want to do what we want to do , right?
它谈到了我们都想做自己想做的事情，对吧？
We want to be ourselves.
我们想要做自己。
And we want to yell when we want to yell and play and laugh and have a good time.
我们想要大喊大叫、玩耍、大笑、享受快乐时光时，我们就要这么做。
But as Mrs. Inkydink said, there's a time and a place for everything.
但是正如英克丁克老师所说，凡事都有合适的时间和地点。
And there is a time and a place to be considerate of other people's feelings.
在某个时间某个地点，需要考虑其他人的感受。
I think the lesson is: Be considerate.
我认为这个故事的道理是要体贴他人的感受。
