The two-day OPEC+ meeting has begun in Vienna the capital of Austria. The OPEC ministers and those from other oil-producing countries are expected to discuss cutting output to increase price. This is in contrast to the stated position of US president Donald Trump who is urging the group to keep supply high and the price low. Saudi Arabia has indicated need for a steep reduction in output. Oman's oil minister told reporters on Wednesday that a production cut has been recommended. But the numbers haven't yet been discussed.
