Candidate 1: When I was in high school, I firstly saw a magazine named Huahuo. It is a monthly magazine about the story of youth, which includes many short stories which are very interesting.

Every month I looked forward to buying it. As soon as I got it, I didn't know how to describe how excited I was. Each story was very moving. Most of the stories told something regarding young people's life in high school or college, which became the magical experiences in my high school. They teach me love, persistence, friendship, beauty of nature and world peace. It is so colorful that makes my life not boring any more, on the contrary, full of vigor!

Now I am in college, becoming mature, but insist on subscribing it, for it is not only my best friend, but also a delightful memory!

Candidate 2: I like reading a magazine named Youth Digest. It consists of semimonthly and monthly. The semimonthly(半月刊) includes the Red and the Green.

The Red is published at the first of every month and the Green comes out at the fifteenth. There are all kinds of articles in the semimothly, including those about people, society, exploration(探索), life, vision and so on. I like the articles about societies very much because they can help me know more about our society. And I also like the ones about vision, which can improve my knowledge and broaden my view of vision.

The monthly consists of articles about meditation, emotion, amusement, wisdom and aesthetics(美学). I like the articles about meditation best, which often sparks my thinking about people, society and life.

The reason why I prefer Youth Digest to others is that it includes lots of knowledges in which I am very interested. So I think it is only a magazine, but also a key to stir(激发) my wisdom.

Candidate 3: The newspaper I want to introduce is Southern Weekly. I like it because it can reflect the truth of the society and keep people close to the reality. The newspaper does a good job in bettering people's lives. It has several versions including A-society, B-politics, C-economy, D-culture, and E-review.

In version A, the greatest and latest events like the adoption of disabled children due to the big earthquake in Sichuan are reported. Some important events on current politics are analyzed by some famous scholars in version B. Questions like "Economic crisis of America, housing price rising and reasons of rapid economic growth of China" would be found in version C. The culture version consists of topic, bygone, reading, writing, science and art. The last part is review. Some opinions and views on various areas would be presented in this version. I like the cultural version most because it not only involves front-line science, but also unknown bygones. I think the Southern Weekly is a good newspaper. Although it is a little bit expensive, it is worthwhile and I believe there must be many people who like reading it.
