二、文章讲解：

Aeroplanes are slowly driving me mad. I live near an airport and passing planes can be heard night and day. The airport was built years ago, but for some reason it could not be used then. Last year, however, it came into use. Over a hundred people must have been driven away from their homes by the noise. I am one of the few people left. Sometimes I thinkthis house will be knocked down by a passing plane. I have been offered a large sum of money to go away, but I am determined to stay here. Everybody says I must be mad and theyare probably right.

1)Was built 过去时的被动语态
结构：be过去时（was/were） + done
例句：The criminal was released last year. 那个罪犯去年被放出去了。

some/a 的概念
3）it could not be used then.
Used to do sth 过去常常做某事（现在不做了）
例：I used to smoke a lot. / We used to fight a lot/ I used to drink a lot. /I used to be a driver.

4.Last year, however, it came into use. Over a hundred people must have been driven away from their homes by the noise.
1)However 转折连词，位置灵活（句首，句中，和句尾）
2)Come into use 逐渐开始使用
搭配：It’s no use doing sth 做某事没有用
例句：It’s no use crying here. You gotta do what you gotta do. 哭没有用的，该怎么办就怎么办！
3)Hundred 用法
前面句子数字 ＋ hundred ——－five hundred people
hundreds of --- hundreds of people 数以百计的人
4）must have done 对过去肯定的推测
You must have cried last night.

5.I am one of the few people left. Sometimes I think this house will be knocked down by a passing plane.
1）one of + 可数名词复数; ….之一
例：Shenzhen is one of favorite cities in China. 深圳是中国最大的城市之一。
2）过去分词做后置定语
结构：名词 ＋ done
例句: The books bought yesterday are of high quality.
例句：What’s the language spoken in that country?
例句：They are problems left over by history?
3）will be knocked down by a passing plane
语法：一般将来时的被动语态，复习时态和语态的结合。

6.I have been offered a large sum of money to go away, but I am determined to stay here. Everybody says I must be mad and they are probably right.
1） have been offered 完成时的被动语态
